Jen Wooyeon Park, a second-year PhD student in the BIDS program, is advised by Dr. Paul Nagy. Her research focuses on improving personalized medicine by developing a multimodal framework of standardized healthcare data. Her recent work, “Development of Medical Imaging Data Standardization for Imaging-Based Observational Research: OMOP Common Data Model Extension,” was published in the Journal of Imaging Informatics and Medicine (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38315345/ ). She presented her work at the Observational Health Data Science and Informatics community call (https://youtu.be/y-hDWs9tRBw).
Guided by Dr. Paul Nagy, Star Liu, a first-year BIDS PhD student, recently published in JAMIA Open on their framework for tracking and evaluating the growth and impact of the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) open science community. This paper is also special because it was published on 02/29, a date that does not come around often.
